Build the future of streamed education.
We're a small, intentional team. We don't post a constant stream of openings, and we don't hire people we don't have real work for. But the right person, found at the right moment, can change the trajectory of a young company — so we always keep this door open.
What we work on
Ontesta Mini sits at the intersection of cinema, software, and pedagogy. On any given week we're storyboarding a series, debating pricing tiers, optimising a video pipeline, designing a category page, or sitting in a recording session with an instructor in their kitchen.
The interesting work, broadly, falls into four buckets — and we're always open to extraordinary people in any of them:
- Instructors & subject specialists — if you can teach something specific, deeply, and engagingly, please pitch us a series first via the Submissions page. That's the cleanest path in.
- Producers, editors, motion designers — we are always upgrading our production craft.
- Engineering & product — full-stack web, video pipelines, payments, ML for content discovery.
- Growth, partnerships, and operations — the unglamorous work that compounds.
What we don't do
- We don't hire generalists hoping to land somewhere — please tell us what specifically you want to build with us.
- We don't run multi-stage interview gauntlets. A short conversation, a small paid trial, and a yes/no.
- We don't post jobs to make the company look bigger. If we're hiring, the role exists.
How to introduce yourself
Send us a real introduction — not a resume firehose. We pay attention to people who pay attention to us.
- Two to three paragraphs on what you do and why Ontesta Mini, specifically.
- A link or two — a portfolio, a Github, a Substack, an essay, anything that shows your taste.
- The kind of role you'd thrive in (full-time, freelance, project-based — all on the table).
